Next level building system.

In 2019 we had a chance to work with a relatively new product to our area, ICE panels from @GreenStone. what a system they have created! it gives you the chance to have a passive building without the massive costs associated with that type of build. it also allows you to avoid the loss of square footage inside your house from the 12″ to 18″ thick walls. the walls have a built-in thermal break so there is no need for the added styrofoam to be installed on the exterior of your house and the walls provide a very high r-value and top of the line seal from heat loss. Our team has been working on the finishing of the inside of the building over the winter months and we have been able to heat the apartments with a single 1500w ceramic heater in each unit, to put that into perspective that is the equivalent of the toaster you use every morning for breakfast. We combined the ICE panels with a spray foamed roof area to get a great seal to the entire building envelope and also provide a conditioned space in the attic to allow for ductwork to run without having loss of efficiency by running ducts through cold areas in the attic as is the conventional method of building mechanics. Overall it was a great build and we have reached out to partner with GreenStone panels on future builds as a way to provide “overbuilt” houses without being terribly overpriced! It is truly the evolution of housing for our area.
